Full Description: Undercover chat operations are a critical tool in the investigation and disruption of online child exploitation, solicitation, and related offenses. This specialized workshop equips investigators with the necessary tactical, psychological, and legal aspects of UC chat techniques. The curriculum focuses on analyzing online offender behaviors, where participants will learn the creation and maintenance of a digital persona that is believable to the offender and compliant with operational guidelines. Key topics covered include: building rapport; tactically managing high-risk communications; techniques for securely gathering and documenting digital evidence; using chat strategies to secure admissions; and transitioning cases to apprehension.
