Full Description: Taught by a former prosecutor and an experienced human trafficking investigator, this two-day interactive course equips investigators and prosecutors with practical tools to respond effectively to human trafficking cases. The course addresses legal frameworks, operational planning, interviewing considerations, and trial preparation, while also emphasizing the impact of trauma on victims and the evidentiary complexities these cases often present. Participants will examine common myths and misconceptions, explore trafficking indicators and offender behavior, and practice strategies for both proactive and reactive investigations. Hands-on exercises give participants the opportunity to apply these techniques in realistic scenarios, from operational planning through courtroom strategy.
