About Crystal
Crystal Nordby has had a rewarding career of over three decades in law enforcement and law enforcement training. While an investigator with the Holmen Police Department, she was assigned to be a Special Deputy US Marshal with the Milwaukee FBI Cybercrimes Task Force, working on both state and federal investigations. She is trained as a child forensic interviewer and is considered a subject matter expert in the areas of undercover online investigations and other internet-based investigations.
Seeing the need for a strong local response that could combat the online victimization of children in her community, Crystal co-founded the Coulee Region Children’s Internet Protection Task Force. This 501(c)(3) multi-disciplinary team brought prosecutors and law enforcement, child protection, mental health, child advocacy, and corrections professionals together to collaboratively gain ground in the fight against online predators and provide crucial education for children, parents, and community partners. Crystal also serves as Senior Investigator for the nonprofit GRACE and Blue Harbor Investigations.
Crystal is a WI Law Enforcement Standards Board certified instructor, has spoken at local, state, and national conferences, and served previously as an associate instructor for the National Criminal Justice Training Center. Crystal has received the WI Internet Crimes Against Children Award, the Ken Kolb’s Great Kids Start With You Award, and the WI DNR Chief’s Award.
