Courtroom Confidence Coaching
Our coaching prepares professionals for direct and cross-examination, so they can testify clearly, calmly, and credibly on behalf of the children they serve.
Be ready before you take the stand.
Testifying is part of the job, but few professionals get real practice before it counts. Defense attorneys prepare by researching your background, your training, and what you've said and posted publicly. Our coaching prepares you the same way, so the questions you face in court aren't the first time you've heard them.
Step 1
Background Review
Before coaching begins, Robert reviews your CV and online presence, just as opposing counsel would, to identify potential vulnerabilities.
Step 2
Custom Exercises
Using what he finds, Robert creates direct and cross-examination exercises tailored to your role, your experience, and the type of case you're preparing for.
Step 3
Expert Feedback
You work through the exercises over Zoom, with real-time feedback on your answers, your delivery, and how you handle pressure.
Prep yourself or your whole team.
One-on-one coaching provides focused preparation for a single person, often ahead of a specific trial or hearing. Sessions are built around your background and your case, so every minute goes toward the questions you're most likely to face.
We can also train several professions together, either within one discipline, like forensic interviewers or clinicians, or across the entire MDT. Each participant still gets individualized exercises, and the group learns from watching one another on the stand.
Coaching or a Courtroom Testimony Course?
In addition to our Courtroom Confidence Coaching, Coursing Justice offers a one-day course titled “Courtroom Testimony for MDT Professionals.” Coaching is the more individualized option. Every exercise is built around the person on the stand, which makes it especially valuable ahead of a specific trial or hearing.
The course is designed for larger groups. It combines formal lectures with hands-on practice, giving everyone a strong foundation in direct and cross-examination, but without the individual background research that coaching includes. It can also be tailored to a specific audience, such as medical professionals or forensic interviewers. Learn more on our Abuse Investigation & Response Courses page.

Most individuals need 2–10 hours, depending on their role, their experience testifying, and the complexity of the case. We'll recommend a starting point after reviewing your background.

Yes. Most coaching takes place over Zoom, which keeps it flexible and affordable, but in-person sessions are available. Travel expenses for in-person coaching are billed separately.
-
We recommend reaching out as early as possible, since the background review and custom exercises take time to prepare. Ideally, that’s about 30 days before trial, once it looks likely to proceed, and no later than one week before.
That said, we know trial dates can be unpredictable. If you need coaching on short notice, let us know, and we’ll do our best to fit you in.
-
Your current CV and a short overview of your role and the type of testimony you expect to give. You’re welcome to share your social media handles too, which helps Robert make sure he’s reviewing the right accounts. Either way, he’ll research your online presence just as opposing counsel would.
-
Yes. Groups of three or more receive a 25% discount, and sessions can focus on one discipline or include the whole MDT. Each participant still gets individualized prep and exercises.

It depends on your goals and your timeline. Coaching is the better fit when someone is preparing for a specific trial or hearing, or when you want every participant to work through exercises built around their own background.
Courtroom Testimony for MDT Professionals is a better fit for building a strong foundation across a larger group, before a case is on the calendar. The course can also be a natural lead-in to coaching: everyone learns the fundamentals together, and those with upcoming testimony can follow up with individual sessions.
